How do I stop ADE importing all the Ebooks again that I have deleted over the past weeks?

ADE is insisting on importing all the EBooks I have deleted weeks ago.

Tried deleting all books from My Digital Editions and re installing ADE a few times but no change

Still having this problem in 2019.

Adobe DRM is great when it works, but most of the time a pain in the neck.

I've now erased and reauthorized both computer an ereader half a dozen times, still have multiple copies and can't read them because ADE still says they aren't authorised on my device.

Tearing my hair out!!!

Start Digital Edition.

Go under Library > Preferences.
Disable the automatic import.
Remove all Files which no longer need.
Closed Digital Edition.

Rename My Digital Edition Folder under your Documents.

Then start again an the files should now download again.

I have gone to Library - Preferences - Automatically download your synced books to this device.

Have removed all the files.

What do you mean by ...Rename My Digital Editions Folder?

You have a my Digital Edition folder in the folder of you Documents. Rename this to f.e. My Digital Editin.old.
