how to move authorization from old computer's Digital Editions

I want Digital Editions on my new computer but I can't authorize it because my ID is still attached to the old computer's Digital Editions.  Even De-authorizing the old installation didn't help.

Steps for the new device...

Mac OS

  1. Open Adobe Digital Wditions.
  2. Press Command+Shift+D to deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions.
  3. Select Erase Authorization.
  4. Click OK and authorize again.

Windows XP/Vista/7

  1. Open Adobe Digital Editions.
  2. Press Control+Shift+D to deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions.
  3. Select Erase Authorization.
  4. Click OK and quit Adobe Digital Editions.
