When I try to download an e-book from my local library I get the following message:

Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:

E_ACT_NOT_READY

I tried the suggestion of de-authorizing the computer authorization but I when I go to enter the Vendor ID and password, it says my password is incorrect even after I reset it.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

    Hello,

Please make sure caps-lock is on or off depending on your passwrd.

If you are getting the error as "Incorrect password" then there is some mistake in entering the password.

    Thanks

I did. I can sign-in on the adobe ereader site using my username and passsword, but it does not work when I try to de-authorize it.

ok, i will give you the steps to de-authorize, but for authorization you will require the password which has to be correct.

    Mac:

    1. Go-> Go to folder.

Go to folder dialog will appear.

    2. Type   ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions

drag the activation.dat file to the trash.

    ADE will be deauthorized now.

    Now Authorize ADE again.

    Windows:

    Choose Start > Run.

In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.

In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.

In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.

    Your authorization will be deleted.

    ADE will be deauthorized now.

    Now Authorize ADE again.
