I cannot authorize my KOBO device

I get this error message

You can authorize this computer only with an ADOBE ID not already used to authorize other computer or device. Try again

        Close all applications.

        Press WINDOWS + R.

        In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.

        In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

        Remove the Adept Folder.

        In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.

        Close the Registry Editor.

        Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize..

    You get the error in your eBook Reader or in Digital Edition?

    I get the message on the PC I am using to authorize the ereader

    a window called Adobe Digital Edition is opening asking me to enter  ID Adobe and Password

    when I do, I get the error message
