I have 2 versions of ADE and neither can open a .acsm file

I bought a ePUB from a bookstore and got a download link. I tried to open it using ADE, but in version 4.5 I get "E_STREAM_ERROR", and in 3.5 I get "Error. Check activation".

Do I need to uninstall a version? which one?

Thanks
