kobo book see it, can't open it

a kobo book loaded and i read it.  now the computer is not authorized, and I cannot open the book again eventhough it is listed in my digital library (3xs).  last night i followed the directions to authorize the computer, today, the messages read vendor error  (who is the vendor).  is there any way to get concise how to's
