Only certain library ebooks can transfer to eReader?

Hey everyone,

So I have used Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) for previous library ebooks. I downloaded the .acsm file, opened it in ADE to convert to an ePUB file, saved it to my Kobo Glo HD device, and then read the books just fine on my Kobo.

Tonight I was trying this again, but the book will NOT open on my Kobo - it says the file is still protected! However, I can read the book in ADE.

Does anyone know if this is a common issues with library ebooks: Can you only read some books on the ADE library but not on the Kobo/eReader? Anyone know why?
