Problems Downloading to Nook

When i download from local library it goes to wordpad with no option to download to Nook

Have not had this problem in past  HELP

    I have been able to send a book from the library to my Desktop in Windows 10 but when I drag the book into ADE 4.5 I get CE_COPY not allowed no permission to copy the book. This procedure worked fine  on XP and an older copies of ADE over the years I have had my Kobo. I have checked passwords as one subscriber suggested but was not able to find any differences between the book on my desk top and ADE.
