too many activations, activation limit exceed

I am trying to download my library books from my computer to my ereader, however I keep receiving the error message of "too many activiations, activation limit exceed".  How can this error message be fixed because I cannot read any of my books on my ereader?

Increased the activation count, please check now. Also the latest version of ADE follows new deactivation workflow, please refer to https://blogs.adobe.com/ebooks/2015/04/30/deactivating-a-device-from-your-ade-account/

I have the same problem. Can you help me with this? I don't see how to erase / deactivate a device from my account. I can't read my books anymore.
