Transferring book from computer to Nook Lite

I cannot transfer a book using ADE 3. from overdrive library page to Nook Light as my PC Computer does not recognize the Nook on the screen when plugged into each other. Any help?

    If your Computer do not recognize your eBook Reader is a connection problem.
    Check if exist a update of the firmware of your reader or try a other USB cable?

    Will check again with Barnes and Noble about update on my device.  Did try another cable. 

    It seems to work ok on a much older and heavier Nook Color device which I don't use any more.
