Transferring book from library to Nook Reader

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe 4.5.1 edition to be able to transfer the e-pub books to my nook and I keep getting this error...Starlight E_IO_Write-Failed to write to destination file.  How do we fix this problem so that I can continue to read my books from the library.
