Trouble with adobe id, can't activated on the ipad

ADobe id created, activated on a windows laptop, now I need the same app on the ipad and it fails to activate it.

the app is kortext to acess ebooks for studing.

    Adobe IDs are only valid for activation on 6 devices, so if you are at or near that limit you may be out of activations for that account and need a new one.  Also, have you joined your Adobe ID with any other Adobe or vendor IDs?

    TO give more info. my adobe id set up and I was able to download the ebooks on the laptop. But I would like to have them on the ipad as well. Kortext app downloaded, logged in and now it asks me for activation of adobe id, which fails every time I tried.

    DO I have to create a new adobe id or is it technical Issue?

    THanks  Jeff! the error message I get is "Activation Error"  please check your adobe id or password.

    it's very fustrating.
