Unable to authorise ADE with Copia credentials

Tried to authorise ADE 4.5 using my Copia email/password and failed with

“Code: E_ADEPT_SIGNIN_CONNECTION_EXCEPTION http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept SignInDirect Copia https://adobe.thecopia.com/Adobe/Auth

Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation server”

I've no idea what this means and would be grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks, Peter.

    Hi Peter,

I'd recommend that you contact Copia and ask them if they are experiencing any connectivity issues on their end. They might be able to better assist you in solving your login issue since you are trying to connect to their service.

Very happy to report that Copia resolved the problem and I've been able to authorise ADE.

    Hi Peter,

I'm having the same problem you had - unable to authorize Copia with ADE. Unfortunately they have not been helpful for me, and I'm desperately hoping you can advise, please?

I now have the answer, provided by Copia after further contact.

For anyone who has bought an eBook through Dymocks and finds it impossible to authorise with Adobe Digital Editions, try using "EduProd_" as a prefix for their username. So "EduProd_youremailaddress  at  example.com". Combine this with your password for the Copia site (which is actually dymocks.thecopia.com).

If this doesn't work, I suggest contacting Copia and requesting assistance.
