Unable tu install and use Adobe Digital Editions

Hi, I tried to install Adobe Digital Editions 4.0 on my Windows 7 pc but it doesn't run... I tried to install the previous version 3.0 but the result is the same... Is possible to install the version 2.0 and where can I find it? Thank for your interest
