Vendor ID error - What Vendor ID?

I cannot access my eBooks on my PC (Windows 7 x64) anymore, I was able to access the eBooks but now I get suffering.

If you choose adobe id as vendor id you should enter the mail address and the password of his adobe id account.

In my Vendor ID box my only choice is Adobe, I have entered my email address and a changed password and get an error msg that says The vendor acct you opened is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Any suggestions?
