Adobe Digital Editions "Loading Library"

Upgraded to Windows 10 & unable to download books to ADE 3.0 or 4.5.1.

Suggestion from Microsoft forum was to run ADE in compatibility mode. Did this using Windows 8

Now when I download ADE it shows "Loading Library" but never actually appears to do anything.

Have to close computer to stop ADE & delete program.

Anyone know what ADE is trying to do or how to download working copy of ADE.

I have rolled back to Windows 8.1 but on reinstalling ADE it continues to show "Loading Library" & does not work.

No response from Microsoft forum.

Closed DIgital Edition.

Rename My Digitial Edition to My Digital Edition.old under your Documents.
Then try to open Digital Edition Again.

Now you must download the eBooks again.

Many thanks this HAS worked on 2 books so far and so you have made me very happy & restored my faith in Adobe.

Unfortunately do not have the confidence to upgrade to Windows 10 but very happy anyway with 8.1.
