How can you transfer highlights across devices?

On my pc I have highlighted some text. When I look at the document on my tablet or on my phone though, the highlighting is not there. How can I transfer the highlighting, such that I don't have to highlight all several times?

    Wait... is it now 2024 and this feature STILL isn't a thing?! Oh my. Must search elsewhere, sadge.
