2-Step Verification text not sent to me

I just downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud on a new device, reached the 2-step verifcation screen and was stuck there, as the text never arrives. The number saved to my account seems to be correct but this text never seems to work. In the past I was able to request verification by email, but the app does not offer that option now.

What can I do?
