64 bit compatability

I upgraded my Mac today and the only app that is not running 64 bit is Adobe. Can you tell us when Adobe will upgrade to 64 bit. Fo now, the 32 bit will work on my Mac but APPLE is warning that with one of the next upgrades apps that don't run at 64 bit will no longer be compatible! I need my creative cloud apps!  I use them almost daily!!

Thanks for any insight.

Correct answer John Waller

Many people on this forum, me included, run Macs and we’re all waiting for 64 bit apps from Adobe.

Adobe is well aware of it and is no doubt working on it.

For now all we can do is wait and put up with the Mojave nag screens.

According to what I read, AAM controls updates to older Adobe apps in older versions of Mac OS. It may well just run in the latest Mac in case you have older apps. I can't say I'm worried about it.

Thanks! I won’t worry about it then.

Yes but the warning message names a specific app which is the problem. What does it say in your message? All the main apps in Creative Cloud are, we are told, already 64-bit.

The main apps have been 64 bit for several years.

As I understand it, shared components, background processes and licensing technology are still 32 bit - scheduled to be all 64 bit in 2019 according to Adobe.

how do I update my Adobe products from 32-bit to 64-bit?

I mentioned 64 bit apps in my first reply above. Really should have said 100% 64 bit code.

Thanks John - the error read “adobe systems”. Apple sent me to the system report to check which software is not yet 64 bit.

I will send a picture of what I see.

All of the AAM apps above say no to the 64bit compatibility.

You say “Adobe” is not running, but it’s just a warning. Which CC app is not working?

They are all still working - Creative Cloud PS, LR CC and LR. Apple is simply warning that with one of the next upgrades they will stop working if Creative Cloud is not running 64 bit comparability. The Apple support encourages users to reach out to app developers to find out when they are planning to migrate apps to 64 bit comparability.

Hope that helps clarify.
