I am moving my applications from a 4-core PC to a 6-core PC for increased speed. In so doing, the 6-core will become my second computer with CS5.
Are the 64 bit versions of CS5 Production Premium not on the CS5 discs and were downloaded automatically later still available?
cs5 products can be directly downloaded here: http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
you need to follow all 7 steps to download the trial and use your serial number to activate.

I have the CS5 discs that I believe would be much faster than a download. I am getting an Airport Extreme router to speed up downloads and file transfers, but this would still be slower than a disc installation. Do you mean that I have to use the download to get the 64 bit versions missing from the discs?

if you have the 64 bit programs on your disks, what is the problem?

You misread what I said. The CS5 Production Premium discs contain most 64 bit versions but some applications did not e.g. Photoshop CS5 was a 32bit version on my Discs. The 64 bit version was provided as a download later. For example, I have two versions of Photoshop on my PC, CS5 from the disc installation and CS5 (64 bit) as a result of a later automatic download. My question was:
Are the 64 bit versions of CS5 Production Premium not on the CS5 discs and were downloaded automatically later still available? This would require that after I installed from the disc version, the 64 bit version would then automatically download?

Now comes the obvious question:
Can I be certain that the download for CS5 Production Premium contains all the 64 bit versions of the applications that I should be getting? At least that Photoshop CS5 is 64 bit and how do I verify this?

and, the obvious answer: download the files, extract and look.

I am organizing all the information I need for a transfer of files and programs from my 4-core PC to my 6-core PC so I apologize if my questions sound trivial. I could tell the 64 bit version from the 32 bit version because the file included (64 bit) at the end of the name. If this is the case with the download program then that is simple.
I also have an additional concern regarding download time. When I tried to download CS5 Production Premium twice on the first 4-core PC, the download quit after a period of time. This can be a problem with Telco Internet. I had to order the discs as a result. I may be lucky with a new Airport Extreme router, due 28th of this month, and the 6-core PC combination. Do you have transfer using FTP or what do I do if I experience the same problem with my 6-core. Single programs such as Photoshop would not be a problem. That is why I asked my original question regarding the download of 64 bit versions that were missing on the discs and sent by download afterwards.

i know of no other option for downloading non-current/no-longer-supported adobe products except via prodesigntools.com
if your connection is too unstable to successfully download, i think, your only other option is to have someone else dl for you and copy to a usb drive or burn a disk or, you use a different connection to do the same.
and, i don't know what you'll be downloading. i've not downloaded anything myself. you'll have to check (or have someone else check) whether the 64 bit programs are included.
