Activate my CS5 Premium on a new computer - encountered so many roadblocks

I originally bought Adobe Design Premium CS 5.and then upgraded to CS5. I have been on two chats with Adobe for help and no one had been able to help me get this operational on my new computer.  I originally loaded the CS2 disk on the new computer, I entered the CS2 serial number. It said was not registered.  I then went onto two chats with Adobe.  The last one asked me to download the CS5 Universal English.

I clicked on File 2 and it then stated:"the file archive is missing part of Adobe CS5 Design Prmium is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe CS5 Desing Premimun. Please download all parts."  The chat operator then told me to go to Forums.  I am now here and need help to get my Design package on the new computer.

When I downloaded CS5 and tried to run it, it said the following message:

Did you do what kglad and I said... download BOTH files into the same folder and run the EXE to do the install?

there are typos in your message that make it difficult to understand what you're doing and what problem you're having.

you originally bought which version?  cs2?

and then you upgraded to cs5?

if yes and yes, when downloading the cs5 installation files you need both files 1 of 2 and file 2 of 2.  those will be an exe file and a same named 7z file.  put both in the same directory and double click the exe.

You should have downloaded TWO files into the same folder... the actual program, and the EXE file that you click to run the installer

    Download & Install instructions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003339

-and many help and download links https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html

-kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2296468 may help

-you will need to enter your original serial number during install for non-Cloud programs

The OLD CS2 you bought is no longer active

CS2 + Acrobat 7 + Audition 3 (AND EARLIER) Activation Server is gone, so read below

    https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs2-product-downloads.html?promoid=19SCDRQK

You MUST use the special version and serial number on the page, not your original disc or serial number

I really don't know how you will install an upgrade CS5 with a non-functioning CS2 serial number
