Activating Flash Professional CS3

I have a business need to reactivate Flash CS3 on a few machines.  As far as I can tell from adobe, the authentication servers haven't been shut down.  But when I try and activate; I get an 'Activation - No Connection' error.  I would assume my internet connection is working fine; as I'm able to post to this forum.  I'm not behind a proxy, and the phone activation option has been deactivated.

Adobe support over the phone would not confirm one way or the other if the servers are still up.  Can anyone provide some insight on this?

    Last time I checked; CS3 is not included in the CS5.5 and later category.

    despite the title, that advice is applicable to c3 and cs4 and everything else that needs to use adobe's activation servers.
