Activation limit reached - But I have two plans

Hi,

 

I have not found anything for my issues, I see alot of stuff about the two computer activation limit. 

I have two plans, my sons student full CC plan installed on his laptop and a shared desktop. I also just added a regular Photography plan for my use.

 

When I start Lightroom or Photoshop on my computer I am told that I have to log out of one of the computers that should be associated with the Student license my son is using. How can I make my copies of the software associate with the Photography plan and not the Student license for my son?

 

It seems to me that I should have the ability to install Photoshop and Lightroom onto up to 4 computers, and the rest of the CC suite on only two computers.

As a supplement, CC Full plan (All Apps) includes the same Photoshop, Lightroom, and Lightroom Classic as the contents of the Photography plan, so it is impossible to make a contract with one AdobeID. You will need two AdobeIDs, and you will need to sign a contract with each individual, as kglad says (IDs cannot be shared).

you must two different adobe ids for two plans.  sign into one pair of computers with one of your ids and the other pair with your other adobe id.

    So then Adobe will be able to move the license to a new ID? If you are limited that way then why does Adobe allow you to assign multiple CC plans to the same ID?

     

    Originally the Student license was from when my son was younger so I managed the ID. Now that he is a Senior in high school I could migrate it to his own ID and just let them manage it if that is required although I don't see any way to do that myself so I will probably have to contact Adobe support if that is the case.

    sign out and then back in to your cc desktop application using one adobe id on one pair and the other on the other pair: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

     

    p.s. each license is assigned to one person and cannot be used (legally) by another person.


    OK, I will contact them about it on Monday. Both plans have already been redeemed sucessfully on the same ID. So I will need their support people to move the Student CC plan to an ID my son sets up for it then. 

     

    Since they are already redeemed and activated(on the same Adobe ID) I don't think that just logging out and back in with a new ID will do anything at this time.
