Question

Adobe Application Manager can't connect to adobe servers

Everytime I turn it on it just spins and spins and finally says cannot connect to the adobe servers and to check my firewall internet connection etc.  My firewall and antivirus are disabled.  My internet connection is perfectly fine.  All I wanna do is install photoshop 5.5 on my computer again.  Can't I just download the 5.5 install file somewhere?  This is frustrating and seems excessive.  Help?

Sunday night 22:30 and still getting same error. Can't connect to adobe servers. Any idea when I can download the cc apps?

EDIT: I see that the new cc apps are releasing on June 17 2013 and that explains why I couldn't get in. I will wait til tomorrow and get my new programs! Hope this helps.

I just got off of chat with tech support and they said it was a server issue because they are updating CC, and it would be resolved "soon". I went into chat because I was also trying to activate something this evening (11:00pm my time) and it wasn't going through. Guess I won't be doing any design work tonight.

We are continuing to monitor the situation but you should now be able to activate your software.

I'm wondering if it is something with the adobe servers, as I am having the same issues.

Is there another way to download the application or do you have to do it through this dumb manager thing?

I think it has to be through the manager.  I posted something as well, hopefully tech support will reply.
