Adobe Application Manager cannot connect to Internet on Mavericks

I recently re-installed Mavericks 10.9.6 on my late 2013 MacBook and then downloaded and re-installed CS6 from my Adobe account. Now I'm unable to use CS6 apps because the Adobe Application Manager cannot connect to the Internet to let me sign in. I've had two chat sessions with support staff, one call with support staff, followed all instructions here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install/how-to-resolve-no-internet-connection-error/td-p/5190798
CS6 worked fine for the 7 days it ran in trial mode after the re-install. It's just that AAM does not seem to be able to connect to Internet when all other apps can. And so it does not let me use my paid, registered, and licenced version of CS6 on MacOS X Mavericks.
Nothing has helped so far. Has anybody here been able to resolve this?
