Adobe Create Cloud - does not start, and cannot uninstall or re-install
Yesterday, I tried to install Photoshop from the Creative Cloud on my new Windows 8.1 machine. In the middle of the installation, it apparently triggered a restart (without asking me about - which was quite rude, interrupting me in the middle of work).
After the reboot, I had "Adobe Creative Cloud" on my desktop - but when I start it, after a moment of spinning wheel, nothing happens. No error, no nothing - it just doesn't start. So I thought maybe I should try the installation again. But when I try this from the Adobe Creative Cloud Website, apparently it "knows" I already have the Creative Cloud application installed and tries to start that and install Photoshop. Same thing happens: Nothing happens.
So I thought I simply uninstall the whole thing and re-install it again. Unfortunately, the uninstaller shows the same symptoms: It simply does nothing. I tried both, going through Control Panel / Programs and Features and directly launching the uninstaller.
What apparently happens is that anything related to the Adobe Creative Cloud immediately crashes on startup - including the installer / uninstaller.
So ... what can I do?
