Dear Adobe Friends.

I own the license to Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium for many years and have recently recieved a pop up "Temporary Activation Expired" You must re-activate to use this product.

Can someone please advise how I can fix this problem in the simplest way possible and why this is happening?

Thank you, much appreciated. I work on Windows 10 and have recently installed CS3 a few months ago and the product was working fine until I recently had this interruption from Adobe that I need to re-activate product in order use this product.

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you!

Adobe has retired their CS3 activation servers. You must now uninstall your existing CS3 which requires activation.

You then obtain a new non-activation version of CS3 and a new non-activation serial number from Adobe by following this procedure:

Activation or connection error when starting CS3 or Acrobat 8

To reiterate, your existing serial number will no longer work. You must use the new non-activation serial number which you obtain from Adobe.

Dear John,

Thank you so very much for replying. Another few questions please.

A) Do I need to first uninstall the Old CS3 Adobe Suite before requesting a new serial #? If so is there a trick to uninstall successfully and thoroughly?

B) Will my new Windows 10 HP Computer accept the new serial # and new download without any errors/problems?

Thank you.

Thanks for the insight Jeff. Yes John has been very helpful as well. Such a nice group of people you are. Makes life so much more pleasant dealing with kind people LOL. I will take your advise regarding the AdobePDF.dll if I run into a problem. So even though Acrobat 8 Pro has been installed within the Suite I gather from our discussion that I still have to go ahead and do a separate installation for the AdobePDF.dll due to the error message that came up during the installation process. I will go ahead then and give it a try.

Its been a real pleasure communicating with you and thank you again so very much for your assistance. I really appreciate it and wish you a blessed life and joy and happiness. Hope to communicate with you again sometime. Have an amazing evening!

Warm Regards,

Good morning Jeff, hope all is well.

In continuation this is regarding the Adobepdf.dll file.

I've managed to copy the Adobepdf.dll-64 to my desktop from the data1.cab file as per instructions via the link you sent me.

So it states to manually extract the file "adobepdf.dll-64 from the data1.cab file BEFORE installing Acrobat but I have ALREADY installed the entire CS3 Suite which included Acrobat 8 Pro so what do I do now? Then it states to "Run the installer setup.exe and when the prompt appears to choose browse and select the file I copied to my desk top. So when I clicked on the Setup.exe file it seems to me that it would probably install the entire suite all over again so I cancelled out of it before moving forward.

Question: So does this mean I have to reinstall the entire Suite all over again, meaning I have to first uninstall the entire CS3 program and then reinstall or does the installation just override the previous installation? I'm very confused. If I have to uninstall and reinstall the entire suite this is just too daunting/nerve-wracking for me because I don't want anything to go wrong. Can I just install the Adobepdf.dll-64 portion separately and if so how would that be done?......... Oh and by the way if the adobePDF.dll is already in the data1.cab file why do I have to install it at all? Is it because of the error message that came up regarding "missing adobePDF.dll file" that came up during the initial installation? Sorry for the million questions. Just trying to get a handle on this.

Please let me know. I'm not going to do anything until I hear back from you. Thank you Jeff very much!
