Hello,

I purchased the Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium (CS4) a while back, and now I'm wondering if there's any way of getting the newer versions without paying for them again? I have my serial number and all.

Thanks!

No.  You pay for new versions, your old serial number is only for the product for which it was purchased.  If you wanted CS5 or CS6 you would have to pay for them.

With a new OS, Adobe will most likely not consider selling you the newest CS versions anyways.  If you have a system capable of running the Creative Cloud software you are limited to purchasing CC plans thru Adobe, or non-CC products.

    Download & Install instructions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003339

-kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2260248 will help

-you will need to enter your original serial number during install for non-Cloud programs

Once you install your CS4, Updates start here and select product, read to see if you need to install updates in number order, or if the updates are cumulative for the individual product http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

Of course, if you have Mac El Capitan/Sierra or Windows 10 you very likely will not be able to install

I have downloaded and installed CS4 without any problems at all, on a brand new MacBook Pro (with Sierra), but that wasn't my question - I kinda wanted to know if I could get the new versions with the serial I already have paid for?
