Adobe CS6 Software auf MacBook Pro mit M2 Chip

New Here ,
Jul 17, 2022 Jul 17, 2022

Hallo zusammen,

Hello kglad,

thanks for your answer, but since you've merely copy-pasted what's printed on my original Adobe CS6 CD booklets, it's unfortunately not really helpful. The CS6 apps run to this day on my 2012 MBPro with OS v.10.14.6 (Mojave) – so that info you particularly hint on is not relevant (quote "Mac OS X v10.6.8 or v10.7"). Therefore same could apply to the "Intel" specs, since there had been no M2 chips back then. That's why I'd like to know, if someone is actually using a Mac OS with M2 chip and the old Adobe apps as mentioned (CS6 or the like).

Regards, Robert

running on 10.14.6 is not the same as installing on 10.14.6.  now, it may (or may not) install on 10.14.6; i don't know.  (buy i seriously doubt it will install and run on os 11+.)

i do know you'll need to differentiate the two issues of running and installing on whatever os you plan to use for installing and for running.

M1 and later can emulate 64 bit Intel, but

catalina and later block all 32 bit apps; the installers for CS6 are 32 bit

Catalina and later block installing all old software, even if it is 64 bit.
So, no for sure. New Mac, new apps. Apple don't want to define their new hardware with old apps, and their business model is to force you to upgrade. It's all part of the Joy of Mac.
