Adobe Installer Canceling Download for too long

Hi,

I tried to download InDesign and since it got stuck on 5% for 20 min I canceled the installation. It has though been CANCELING FOR THE LAST 2 HOURS. I cant sign out of the installer, nor run the Creative Cloud cleaner. Can someone help me?

Update: Downloaded the InDesign and Illustrator 64bit version from the following link: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-apps-download.html, after deinstalling Adobe Cloud. Got ID and AI on my computer. Good news only that the Installer installed itself on its own while installing ID and now it shows me I have two versions for ID and two versions for AI now? Is it taking twice as much space on my computer now? Any help from the community is much appreciated.

AleVF, when you downloaded the installation files for InDesign and Illustrator was the download speed faster?  

 

You can use the process listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html to remove any unwanted versions of Adobe CC applications.

    Hi Jeff,

    yes, the download was way faster than with the installer.

     

    I tried what you said and I had two versions initially (two for ID, two for AI) – one had a little label which said "new" and the other had a version something in grey italics next to the name of the software. When I uninstalled the one I presumed was the oldest, both softwares uninstalled. I am reinstalling now through the cloud, hopefully it will only show one illustrator.

    *Edit: it got stuck on 31% for more than half an hour. There is something wrong with the installer/cloud..
