Adobe Portfolio: Duplicate existing site

Explorer ,
Jan 05, 2020 Jan 05, 2020

I want to create a second site in portfolio based on my existing site. i.e. I want to copy all galleries pages, theme etc. and then edit the new site while not effecting original. Is there a way to do this?

No.  Sorry.  There is no way to duplicate sites from the editing console as you can be logged-in to only one site at a time.  Feel free to submit a feature request.  If enough people ask for this, it might be added to some future Portfolio update.

That's to bad.  Portfolio allows ypou to create up to 5 sites on one login. It would be nice noty to have to start from scratch each time.

The most common use case is to create 1 main site and use the other 4 sites as needed for special events like an art show or to test a new layout theme.   I suspect that most people don't want to duplicate their main site.  They just add on to what's already there or they start over.

Yes, but to have to recreate the contact page, bio, logo, custom colors etc. makes creating special events or trying out new themes more effort then necessary.   I'll submit a feature request.

I think you're missing the whole point of Portfolio.   A special events or splash page should link out to your main Portfolio site where all that info is already published  and presumably getting decent search engine rankings.  There is no reason to re-create the wheel each time.

Nancy no you're missing the point! many people don't want to start from scratch when creating a new site.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could create a splah page, or any other site to link out to from you main portfolio page withthe same look and feel without having to recreate that look and feel from scratch.   At any rate, it is apparently not an option so I will submit a feature request, for what it's worth.

You can certainly duplicate galleries or pages within the same site.

But as I said before,  there is no option to duplicate a site.
