Question

Anyone else using a MacBook having trouble installing CC updates?

I'm having trouble updating the following apps:

Premiere Pro CC (2015)

After Effects CC (2015)

Media Encoder CC (2015)

I followed the suggestion of creating a new user with admin privileges to install but that did nothing to help.  I then uninstalled the apps and attempted to reinstall but now I get the error message "Installation succeeded, but a patch failed" (U44M1|210).

I am using a MacBook Pro (late 2011) and OS X Yosemite (10.10.5).  Hard drive space is not the issue as there is plenty of room for any files to be unpacked.

Installed the same updates on a PC (Windows 7) without any issues at all.

Well the issue has reappeared.  Updates to Premiere and Media Encoder are not installing with the error message "Unable to extract the downloaded files...".  This is turning out to be the norm rather than the exception on my MacBook.  No issues with the updates on a PC.

‌Update: After trying multiple "solutions" I ended having to reinstall Yosemite, after a major crash, and then I was able to install the updates.  As far as I'm concerned this thread can be closed/deleted.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm glad you successfully updated after your reinstall.

Thank you for the suggestion but it doesn't solve the problem with updates.

update by downloading the files directly and then applying them:
