Albert and Wav91239375, we are continuing to investigate potential solutions for Error Code 146. Please do contact our support team at Contact Customer Care if the suggestions in this discussion do not resolve the error.
Ok I finally got everything working. I must admit this whole process has been frustrating. I would suggest that someone create detailed instructions on how to resolve this issue for both mac and windows. From searching FAQ, this forum and online most of the suggestions are out dated. For anyone on MacOS High Sierra who is having this issue try what I did from Below is a slightly modified version of the bridge code 146 issue mentioned in reply #2 of this thread.
Here's what I did to resolve the issue.
Follow these steps to disable SIP:
- Restart your Mac.
- When you hear the chime*, hold down Command-R and keep it held down until you see an Apple icon and a progress bar. Release. This boots you into Recovery Mode.
- From the Utilities menu, select Terminal.
- At the prompt type the following and then press Enter:
csrutil disable - Terminal should display a message that SIP was disabled and reboot is needed.
- From the menu, select Restart.
- Then install the apps that were erroring out once you've rebooted.
- Then reboot back into recovery mode to enable csrutil by repeating step 4 but substituting disable with enable.
*I found out if you are using a bluetooth or 3rd party keyboard, holding down the keys as it reboots or from a cold start won't always work to boot into recovery mode. Wait for the chime and then hold down Command + R till you see the progress bar start to load. If it's slow to load after release then more than likely it's booting into recovery more.
So Adobe can i have credit on my monthly subscription since I spent 3+ hours trying to resolve this issue.
thanks,
g.
