Hello !
I used Photoshop CS5 on my laptop under Win10 without problem : installed from a boxed version
I just updated my laptop to Win11 -
On Win11 ADOBE refuses the serial number and considers I'm using a trial version !
I paid good money for the boxed suite, it did not have any end date, it suits my actual needs fine, how do I get to use it still ?
Thanks for any clue !
P.

Itriedall, sorry you cannot use Creative Suite 5 since you upgraded to Windows 11. What is the exact error message that you are receiving? Please see https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/invalid-revoked-serial-numbers.html for more information.
I recommend you start by registering your copy of Creative Suite 5 if you have not already done so. I don't see anything but licenses for Acrobat under the account you used to post to this public discussion forum.

It could be registered under a different account, itriedall. Please bookmark https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/change-email-address.html if you need to update the e-mail address for the account you used to originally register the software.

That's right... I might have changed email address in between
But first I'll try desactivating the database files, as suggested in the link you provided (thanks !)
I'll see to it tomorrow
Thanks again for your help Jeff, I'll come back with the result !

Hello
Here's what I see :
I have yet to try deleting the activation database files, have had no time today so far...

if you saw an invalid serial number you either made an error when entering the number OR you have the wrong installer. details:
assuming you're using a valid adobe serial number (6 groups of 4 numbers), you have a mismatch between your installation file and serial number. ie, you can have a valid serial number, but if it's for program A and your installation file is for program B, you will see an invalid serial number message.
common mismatches are language/region (eg, serial number is for western europe and installation file is eastern europe), platform (eg, serial number is for a mac and installation file is win), license type (eg, education vs enterprise vs individual). and one of the most common is using a program installation file with a suite's serial number. eg, using a cs6 suite serial number with a photoshop cs6 installation file. that won't work even though photoshop is included in that suite.
you must use the (correct) suite's installation file (and you can choose to only install one program from the suite). here's official info about that error, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-valid-product.html

So...
I deleted the activation database files, as advised in the link provided by Jeff A. Wright (thanks again), Photoshop would not start after that and I had to reinstall
There the serial number was accepted - only my id was not : my password has 13 characters ! Did not feel like changing this !
Seems Photoshop works fine again !
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HELPED AND UPVOTED THIS POST
Hopefully it can help others, upgrading from Win10 to Win11 is not so smooth as one would wish, particularly I suppose when old softwares are concerned !
