I own Adobe Creative Suite CS 5.5 for Mac. I love the fact that I OWN it. No monthly payments. But now I need to upgrade my Mac OS, from 10.7.5 to 10.11 or 10.12. Are there any options for me to permanently purchase Adboe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop rather than RENTING them?

You may purchase Premier Elements and/or Photoshop Elements.
Video & movie making software | Adobe Premiere Elements
Creative Suite software is no longer available from any retailer, re-seller or country now.
Creative Cloud is by subscription only.
Hope that helps.
You can get Premiere without a monthly payment by paying for the full year subscription up front, but CC is the only version available.

Adobe only offers the latest versions of Photoshop CC & Premiere Pro CC with a subscription. Some older CS versions can still be installed via terminal on Mac OS 10.12 – see link below.

Adobe owns the software. They only sell you a license to use it.
If you want Premier Pro, you have to buy a month-to-month or annual Creative Cloud plan which renews automatically until you cancel it.

If you don't need all the bells & whistles of Premier Pro, look at Premier Elements. It's a lite version with an easier learning curve and no subscription required.

so basically, there are ZERO editing products out there where we pay one time and are left alone? How come no one makes a hardware / embedded firmware / version of an editing platform? What is this with rental crap? I had a video editing studio in the 0's that was RS-422 firmware driven. It worked perfectly every time I previewed or performed an edit. I only gave it up because it was Standard def. However, why can't an HD version be created of what I had in the 90's?

You have resurrected a very old topic from 2017.
And as I said in 2017, Premier Elements is a one-time fee. No subscription needed.
