Can I store CS6 programs on an external drive for use later?

My MacBook Pro hard drive is almost full. I don't use most of the CS6 programs I have. I want to move them to an external drive. (I think they may be stored there already using Time Machine). Can I do this and uninstall them to free up space? I just want to have them for later in case I need them.

The Adobe Applications cannot be installed on a external drive.

Can I store them on there and reinstall them later onto my laptop if I want to use them?

Yes you can save the setup files of the softwares. Please make sure while reinstalling them again you move the files to computer hard drive.
