Both application disks just spin and refuse to mount in order to install. I returned brand new Apple Macbook Pro thinking it was a bad optical drive (advice given on the Apple Boards). Company sent a second brand new Macbook Pro OS X 10.7.2 and same thing. I can watch a movie but I can not install my favorite software. Apple states that Adobe needs to come up with a fix but I am not sure how a patch can help with software that can not be installed. Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

A phone call with Adobe's tech support solved this issue. The disks mounted fine on my desktop but would not show up on two brand new Macbook Pro's. If you go through finder on your dock you are able access the disks in order to install they just don't show up the traditional way to Mac users. It works though, and I am finally able to use my favorite software on a new, hard-earned Macbook Pro. Thank you to Shay at tech support that was so helpful on a Friday evening at 6:00 pm!

Schnder it is likely that the install discs are defective if they are unable to mount on two separate computers. You can locate details on requesting replacement media within Obtain replacement product CDs, DVDs, manuals - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/153/tn_15300.html.

adding to what jeff said....you can download the trial version from adobe.com website and can use the same serial that you have got.
and please order for the replacement disc as the download will not remain for the whole time..

Oh you will want to turn on the preference for discs to be viewed on your desktop. You can access this under Finder>Preferences and put a check mark next too CDs, DVDs, and iPods.
Glad to hear you were able to get it installed. I am a bit surprised Apple sent you a replacement laptop prior to checking this though..
