So this last week the Desktop was upgraded to Windows 10. I did not like it so I reverted it back to Windows 7. Now when I attempt to open my Adobe CS product it asks me to Activate. It says "due to a change in the system configuration, we need to activate this product". The online automatic activation fails. The phone numbers provided are invalid. The website listed is also no good as it gives Error 400. When I spoke to Adobe Chat they redirected me here for support since Photoshop 8 is no longer supported. I still have my disks, my serial number and license key but yet apparently I can no longer use my program without activating it and that seems impossible at this time. Any ideas or suggestions?
Serial number and activation support (non-CC) https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2041990
If the Chat person sends you back to this open forum, you are out of luck... only Adobe can help, nobody here can access the activation server

if that's cs3 or later, uninstall your suite.
clean per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
restart your computer.
reinstall your suite.
if you're unable to connect to adobe.com to activate, check your hosts file.
for help with that and other common secure adobe.com connection problems read, http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html

Thanks. Unfortunately, it's earlier than that.

Activation server is available only for CS 3 and above versions . I see that it is CS version.
However , if it is okay , you may install CS 2 from below link and use the serial number mentioned along with download link and activate the product as full version :

You have the original CS, is that right?
Adobe has taken down the activation servers for CS2 and earlier.
Search the forums for CS2 and activation. There are links to the old Photoshop CS2 that you can download and install.
You must use the serial # on the CS2 page, this will allow CS2 to run.
Your original serial # will NOT work. Follow the instructions on the page exactly.
Also, since you are on Window 7 you may need to use a compatibility mode to run the software..
Perhaps some Windows users can confirm the mode issue.
