Can't deactivate all CS4 products on my old computer

I am on a mac. Need to deactivate so I can wipe the computer, yet still access files if necessary on my new one. The software is on my new computer. It launches but won't let me use it because of licensing.

When I try to deactivate, it goes through the process up to connecting to Adobe. Then it fails. I have checked the internet (which works and connects to adobe's site). I have turned off my firewall, checked my security software which shows it is allowing connections with Adobe and the Adobe product that tried to connect to. Still won't connect. I've spent hours searching for an answer on this.

No support for these products except through the forum. Anybody have any ideas?

Jtdata, I am showing that you have multiple activations remaining for your registered copy of CS4 Design Premium for Mac OS.  Do you receive any error messages when you install Creative Suite 4 on the new Mac computer?  It is an upgrade license so you will need to enter a qualifying serial number to complete the installation process.  Please see Error: "This serial number is not for a qualifying product" | Adobe Creative Suite for more information.

Jtdata, please be aware that if you are installing Creative Suite 4 on macOS 10.12 or later then you will need to use the workaround discussed in Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra)

Use the chat option here and only ask to have your activations reset:
