Can't download the 7z file for Master Collection CS5.5

Question

Over on this page I've been trying to download the 2 files for the Master Collection (I'm reinstalling on a new computer) for Windows in English. The second file (1.2 MB one) downloaded no problem. However the first file (the 7z 5.1 GB file) just won't download. I am using Chrome and Windows 8.1. I checked to see if it was thanks to a bad internet connection, but my internet connection is stable and at its regular speed. When I try to download I am also signed in to Adobe for sure.

When I click on the download link the browser will show that it is starting but there is little to no progress (the max it claimed to reach was 0.2/5.1 GB during one of my attempts) if any (most attempts it just sat at 0.0 progress). When I let it sit for about five to ten minutes it stops and says it "Failed- Network error"

Any idea what is going on? Is there anywhere else I can download this file that might work successfully?

I figured it out.  Turns out I'm not the only one who has had trouble downloading files since switching to Windows 8. It was all thanks to a security extension I had installed on Chrome. Disabling it made the download work at last. (A little strange since the same extension never created this problem when I was using XP. I suppose the new system + that extension made a lethal combo.)
