Can't open third copy - purchased separately of LR 6

I installed a 3rd (purchased separately from the two CC versions) with serial number but it will not open because it does not recognize it as separate from CC versions and tries to keep me from opening this version.   Has anybody had this problem?

Hi Neilh,

Does the 3rd computer have the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App installed or did you just install LR6?

If you did a trial of LR on creative cloud, see this link. If it is something else, can you please let us know more details about your computer, installation, the sequence of events that led up to this, and any messages that you see when you try to use LR?

In order to serialize Lightroom CC trial and activate as Lightroom 6, please see the following links.

Hi Pattie-F,

Thanks for the reply and url.

3rd computer has the Cloud desktop app installed. Not sure why I installed

it, because I only plan to use CS6 and LR6 on this computer for traveling.

When I try to remove Creative Cloud using the control panel, I get

³Couldn¹t uninstall Creative Cloud because apps installed on your computer

require it to function². For some reason I also installed PhotoshopCC2015

in error, but have deleted that.

I have an HP Envy 15 notebook w/ 64 bit Win 7, 8GB mem, i7-4710 cpu @ 2.5

Ghz.

I downloaded the LR6 from Adobe based on the instructions I got in the email

after purchase. I have the s/n. Apparently it connected with CC. I

received a subsequent set of instructions later and have not tried them yet.

Am going to try to get rid of all the LR6/LRCC that I have, then retry to

get rid of CC app, then start over after reading the link you sent me.

Hopefully I won¹t be back, but typically it takes me a long time to unwind

my missteps and mistakes.
