Today CS6 is greeting me with the news that my product is unlicensed. The very first time I tried to access Acrobat, it presented me with a pop-up window and a field to enter my activation code. I didn't have it handy, and foolishly closed the window, thinking I could get it back at any time. Now when I access any of the apps I get another window that requires me to log into my account before being able to validate the software. After I log in I get no option to enter an activation code. I've read various tips on how to activate CS6, but most were very old. The chat bot on the Adobe website tells me it finds no registered products under my account, but I eventually discovered the page where my very old registered products are listed as registered. I am on the verge of un-installing the entire suite and throwing it away. I only ever used Illustrator CS6 maybe 4 times a year and Acrobat once a month. I have an active subscription for Photoshop and Lightroom. But I am curious whether Adobe has invalidated my license or if the activation somehow got deleted when my son-in-law installed a new mainboard two days ago for me. I hadn't expected the mainboard upgrade to affect anything since the software is still on the same drive. Judging from some more recent posts on this subject I get the impression that a re-activation is no longer allowed by Adobe for such an old legacy product.

Update after a couple of hours. At some point I was presented with the option to enter an activation code, but when I did, it started an endless loop. It presents me with a log in window and I have to log into my account by using a specific link. Then I have to enter a code sent to my phone. Then it redirects back to where I can enter an activation code. Then it starts all over again. So I think Adobe has disabled activation.

SammJess, please see https://adobe.ly/3VtH3s2 for information on how to activate Creative Suite 6 in 2024.
I would also recommend reviewing https://adobe.ly/3Vr3YV6 for more information on managing your remaining activations for any purchased Adobe desktop software. ^JW
