Can't reinstall classic LR after system restore on desktop computer

I installed classic LR on a new desktop computer Jan 5. It was my 2nd copy, I already had it installed on a laptop. After installing a camera driver I had to restart the computer. It would not restart because of a "inaccessible boot device" error. I was forced to do a system restore on the computer to a date before Jan 5. I lost my LR program on the new desktop computer. I logged into my Adobe account, deactivated the LR on the new desktop and tried to install it again. It starts the install of LR, but stops at 5%.

A link that came up with the error message directed me to the Microsoft website. It stated this can happen after downloading a driver, which I had done just previously. So I had to restore to previous of downloading the driver, which also happened to be previous to installing LR.

I was able to clean off the remnants of LR and reinstall it. I am up and running.

Sounds more like you have computer problems.

No new computer needs a sys restore and gives you a "Inaccessible boot device" if everything is running OK.

As far as I know you can reinstall LR and whatever on the same computer as many times as you like without having to reset your activations.

Glad you got it to work! Microsoft can be a little finicky with their drivers sometimes!
