can't reinstall Photoshop after uninstall

Trying to get to the bottom of what might be a software bug, I uninstalled Photoshop CS6, intending to reinstall it right away through the Cloud subscription.  But now when I try to download it, the Download window opens, but the software is not downloading.  It shows Photoshop CS6 as "Up to Date," even though I no longer have the application.

How do I reinstall Photoshop CS6?

I did manage to fix the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the Creative Cloud desktop application.  I think it was failing to download Photoshop, because PS was already listed among prior downloads.  But resetting it seems to have done the trick.

Thanks for the advice!

Hi Jonathan - I was also having this problem with reinstalling Acrobat Pro.  The cleaner suggestion above worked for me.  Here is the link I was given that lists some other solutions as well:  CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed

Hello Jonathan,

concerning your "reinstall it right away through the Cloud subscription": Did you really use "Cloud Cleaner Tool". (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!) Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.

I quote: ... helps resolve installation problems for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3-CS6) applications. The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.

If necessary and for further questions and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences.
