Can't use creative suite after updating Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1

After updating my Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1 I was unable to open Photoshop. I was able to use Premier. I followed instructions for cloud clean up, which also uninstalled all my creative suite apps. When I try to reinstall the apps it fails. It tells me to check for updates and try again but there is no update and retry fails too. I am a paying customer, I want to use my apps.

I called technical support and they had me delete everything realted to adobe from the machine and reinstall. All apps, ~Libary/Preferences, ~Libary/Application Support,  ~Library/Caches. Same in the /Library folder at root.

And running thesetwo apps: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html
and https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html#sa_src=web-messaging

This fixed the issue.

for those with beta apps,

use the cc desktop app to uninstall (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html)

uninstall all betas

test if problem's resolved

if not, uninstall problematic apps, restart your computer and reinstall the problematic apps.

Are you running any plugins with photoshop? Can you try holding down shift next time you start the app and select yes to skip loading optional and third party plugins?

I appreciate you writing in. I can see that you're using Adobe Creative Cloud all apps. Do you get any specific error? Could you share more details?
Meanwhile, you can take a look at this article: https://adobe.ly/3WCRUj7

It shares the common compatibility issues with macOS.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks,

Shivangi

I don't have Adobe installed on my mac and have this issue. I can't even troubleshoot because the app is not installed.

Legacy Creative Suite is not compatible with any modern Apple or Mac OS.

You probably mean Creative Cloud.  Make sure your computer meets the minimum CPU & GPU requirements. Most Creative Cloud apps work on:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit), Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2, 21H1;
  • MacOS 14 (Sonoma), 13 (Ventura), 12 (Monterey).

Hope that helps.
