Cannot deactivate cs4

I am currently in the midst of moving software and I am trying to deactivate flash cs4. But when I try to deactivate it it gives me the message “we are unable to connect to Adobe. This could be because of a active fire wall or proxy”. My internet connection is fine, my firewall is down, and I don’t have a proxy. I was told to request an activation count reset, Im not sure what that means, and I’m hoping somebody can help me,

Thanks

SullyFx, sorry you are facing difficulties with activating and deactivating Creative Suite 4.  I reviewed the e-mail address you used to post to this public forum, but there are no Adobe software titles registered.

Please make sure to log in to the account where Creative Suite 4 is registered to receive proper support options at Contact Customer Care .  For information on how to locate and register Adobe serial numbers see Find your serial number .

Moving forward are you receiving any error messages when you activate Flash CS4 on the new computer?  Most Creative Suite software titles have multiple activations remaining.  It is only when you exceed the number of allowable activations do you need to contact our support team directly.  For more details regarding the activation process see Activate and deactivate Adobe products .

I use mac. I have gone through that link twice before, and just did it again without any luck. When I go through the Hosts files mine look nothing like the one in the link.(I have provided an image below) Also I did reach out to customer care and it got me no where.

Try again.  This time ask only to have your activations reset.
