Cannot deactivate CS5

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this enquiry as it relates to CS5. Apologies in advance.

I have an old PC with a CS5 suite. I want to deactivate and uninstall CS5 and move it to another PC.

The deactivation always fails.

I have been to this page:

https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html

and followed all the instructions:

I am connected to the internet.

I can connect to the Adobe activation servers...perhaps (see later)

The hosts file does not contain any Adobe-related entries

The PC clock is correct

There are no proxy servers

I have turned off the Windows firewall

Activation servers...continued

When I use this link:

https://ims-na1.adobelogin.com/renga-idprovider/resources/img/logos.png

I see two logos which confirms connection.

When I use this link:

https://activate.adobe.com/servlets/status.jsp

I see nothing on IE and Firefox. But on Chrome I receive a 503 error:

“activate.adobe.com is currently unable to handle this request”

From the page of Adobe Creative Cloud Network Endpoints at:

https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html

There is no entry for activate.adobe.com

However, on that page there is an entry for licensing services that use activation services as *.licenses.adobe.com.

Does this mean the server for deactivation no longer exists?

However, that page is for CC and not CS5. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I'm not able to uninstall and deactivate CS5 either. I get repeated messages to connect to the network. I'm a personal user connected to my home internet.
