Cannot install old Acrobat Pro 7.0. Typed serial number on the box (with and without hyphens) and it was refused.

Forget about it. Your old serial number will no longer work since the activation server was removed by Adobe a few years ago.

You must download a fresh, non-activation copy of Acrobat 7 from the Adobe website.

Install then enter the new, non-activation serial number provided at that link. Your existing serial number won't work.
