Yes, the ROOT PATH is simply the top directory (D:) in this case. I guess Adobe's programmers are so used to the word that they expect everyone to know it...

hi, i'm trying to install to a non-removable d drive and I'm getting the same error. is there any way to deal with this error if its a non-removable drive?

Found the answer. In addition to installing on a non-removable drive, you have to create a folder in d drive, something like 'AdobePrograms' and save it there.
