so i am trying to download Adobe after effects.

but whenever i try to install it, it shows me "cant install adobe after effects right now (errorcode: 176)"

ive looked at the meaning of that code, and it says it  cant install to a networked drive.

however, i dont have any networked drives in my system.

it also doesnt matter what drive i select, none of them work and the installer still gives me this error.

Sorry, but that's useless. You have not provided any actual system information and specific details about your drive configuration. You need to be much more spoecific and givce us something we can work with. Also find the install log. it may reveal what actually is going on.

you also can't install on the root and any internal drive.

if your install location is anything other than default, embed a screenshot showing the install location specified in the cc desktop app.
